Revolutionize vineyard sustainability by tackling one of agriculture’s most pressing challenges: soil degradation
On December 18, 2024, the SOSVITI project officially launched with a virtual Kick-Off Meeting, bringing together all partners under the guidance of project officer Vasiliki Exarchxou. The meeting featured an insightful opening presentation by the project coordinator, PhD DEng Jesús Rodrigo-Comino, followed by introductions from each partner and discussions on the project’s core objectives, work packages, and the establishment of the core group. Co-funded by the HORIZON-MSCA Staff Exchanges programme, SOSVITI is a groundbreaking initiative uniting leading academic institutions and innovative private sector companies to address soil degradation in viticulture through advanced scientific research and technological innovation.
We agreed that our mission at SOSVITI (Sustainable Soil Management Decision Support System in Viticulture) will be to revolutionize vineyard sustainability by tackling one of agriculture’s most pressing challenges: soil degradation.
